There are many ways to be involved at Good Shepherd. Our members enjoy teaching at our Sunday School, Adult Bible Study classes, and Vacation Bible School; serving on and participating in the work of congregational service boards; making a joyful noise with our music ministries (Senior Choir, Hand bell Choir, Soloist, Instrumentalist, and Organist), and spreading love and fellowship through visitation with guests, shut-ins, hospitalized neighbors, and other members.
Liturgical worship takes place every Lord’s Day at 9:00 a.m. The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper is celebrated weekly, and each service is graced with special music from members of our congregation.
Adult Bible Study
An adult bible class is led by Rev. Ehrichs following worship service.
A one hour midweek men’s Bible Study class is held every Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. A women’s Bible Study class follows at 10:30 a.m. Both classes are studying “Christianity and the Competition” by Dr. Paul Maier.
Available for all ages on Sunday morning following worship.
Men’s Prayer Breakfast
The first Monday of the month at 7:30 a.m. a special prayer breakfast is hosted by the Board of Elders. While the menu depends on the cook, each breakfast includes devotion and prayer.
Lutheran Women’s Missionary League
The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is the official women’s auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. For over 65 years, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries, and supporting global missions.
Through our SHARE Program, we provide assistance to members and the whole community in times of need. Funds are raised through monthly congregational offerings and semi-monthly rummage sales. Assistance is provided in the form of food, clothing, necessities, and limited help with utility bills as funds are available.
Family Life Night is a food, friend, and fellowship celebration held on the second Saturday of every month. The feast begins at 5:30 pm followed by fun and games for all. Activities take place in the Family Life Center located behind the sanctuary. Good Shepherd has activities and events for men, women, and children of all ages. The Board of Family Life helps facilitate and host annual events like our Ice Cream Social and Talent Night, Octoberfest, Reformation Bonfire, and the many congregational celebrations throughout the year.
