Rev. Randal G. Ehrichs
Rev. Ehrichs is a life-long member of The LCMS who has been serving our Lord and His saints in the ministry for 25 years.

By age 18, he had become one of his father’s main drive line mechanics and a shop foreman at the family’s Dodge Chrysler dealership. Upon his father’s retirement, Rev. Ehrichs continued his business entrepreneurial spirit by designing and building subterranean housing in Iowa and Nebraska. In March of 1980, along with his brother-in-law, he incorporated his business titled, “Earth Shelter Technologies,” In the years following, he acquired his Iowa state licensing for health insurance, life insurance, and securities, and then moved with his wife and children to Fort Dodge, Iowa, where he took the position of District Representative with Aid Association for Lutherans.
The Ehrichs family then moved to Missouri where he enrolled at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. He received his Master of Divinity degree and was ordained at his home congregation of Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, Iowa on June 28, 1992. Rev. Ehrichs received his first divine call to Grace Lutheran Church in Wood River, Nebraska, where he served as pastor from 1992 – 1995. He then was called to serve the saints at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cole Camp, Missouri, from 1995 – 2003. From June of 2003 to the present he has been pleased to call the baptized believers at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Callaway, Florida, his beloved Christian family.
In addition to his responsibilities in the parish, Rev. Ehrichs was blessed to serve as Circuit 15 visitor (counselor) in the Southern District for 11 years. Previously, he served as Counselor for the Sedalia Circuit in the Missouri District. He has now begun his 3rd year on the Southern District Board of Directors., and recently chaired the District’s task force on term limits for constitutional revisions. In 2010 and 2013 Rev. Ehrichs served the district as the circuit’s pastoral elector for the synod’s National Convention. He was chosen to attend both sessions of the National Stewardship Conference and Leader Training Seminar in St. Louis, MO, and is currently serving as advisor to the Southern District Stewardship Committee.
In 2010 Rev. Ehrichs helped lead a twenty member Mercy Medical Team to Haiti following the devastating January 12th earthquake. He provided spiritual care and prayer, while the medical personnel with him were able to treat over 1600 of the suffering Haitian citizens during their 10 days in Port au Prince. On the day of the team’s arrival Rev. Dr. Doris Jean Louis, the father of Haitian Lutheranism, was murdered. The following Saturday, along with First Vice President Dr. William Diekelman, Rev. Ehrichs was honored to help represent the LCMS World Relief and Human Care Mercy Medical Team when he was asked by Dr. Jean Louis’ wife, Elucie, and his brother to preach the closing sermon and give the benediction at his 4 hour funeral at First Lutheran. Rev. Ehrichs has also presented theological papers at the Southern District Pastor’s Conference in Slidell and the Circuit 15 Winkels and at the circuit’s LWML Rally. In addition, he was privileged to help lead two 10 day Lutheran tours through the Holy Land in Israel providing additional spiritual formation.
Rev. Ehrichs claims his finest personal decision in life was to ask for the hand of his wife Robin, who graciously agreed to marry him July 24, 1976. Together, they have been blessed by our heavenly Father with 7 children and 8 grandchildren.
To God be all the glory!
